● 5:30 P.M.: 9th Volleyball Triangular @ Broken Bow.
● No School - Fall Break (End of 1st Quarter)
Tuesday, October 19, 2021:
● 5:00/6:00/7:00 P.M.: Reserve/JV/Varsity Volleyball Home vs. Amherst.
○ Senior Parent’s Night before the Varsity game.
● FFA State Land Judging.

● 2:30 Dismissal (All Students)

Friday, October 22, 2021:
● 11:00 A.M. Southwest Conference Volleyball Tournament @ Minden.
● 1:30 P.M. Boys State Cross Country Meet @ Kearney (Kearney Country Club)
● 7:00 P.M. Varsity Football @ Holdrege.

*Students the first edition of the Swede Scoop is available in the media center. The Swede Scoop is the new student newspaper sponsored by the Gothenburg Leader. Teachers if you would like to stop by and pick up copies for your Swede Foundations team please feel free to do so.

HOMECOMING OUT-OF-TOWN DATES *Sign up for out-of-town dates for the Homecoming dance is now in the HS Media Center -- you will need to add your date's name/school to the list AND complete the out-of-town date form. Forms must be submitted by Thursday, September 30 at 3:30 for your date to be approved -- no forms will be accepted the night of the event.


FCA: *Kickoff Hayrack Ride and Capture the Flag

When: Sunday, October 3rd
Time: 3:00-6:00
Where: Meet in the high school parking lot.
Bring: tennis shoes, pants, jacket, and a friend!

HOMECOMING: *Happy Homecoming Week -- Let's ROAR with some Spirit Week fashions! Today (Tuesday) is On Tuesday, there’s nothing more red, white, and blue than FIREWORKS, so show off your USA pride! On Wednesday, definitely soak up the sun by wearing in beachwear inspired by CALIFORNIA GIRLS! Thursday is ANYTHING BUT A BAG -- each class wearing their class color -- seniors will wear black, juniors white, sophomores blue, freshmen red, 7th and 8th grades yellow, and staff wear Swede gear. NO Backpacks allowed!! Bring your school supplies in anything but your bag. On Friday, get cozy in your pajamas or show your team pride by wearing a jersey for LAST FRIDAY NIGHT! Administration will select a boy and girl winner for each day -- each winner will receive free admission to the dance Friday night after the football game!


FFA MEMBERS: *There will be an Ag Advocacy meeting tomorrow morning, WEDNESDAY at 7:15am Mr.Negley's room. FFA members, we hope to see you there.


CONGRATULATIONS: *Congratulations to Ethan Olsen for medaling in 18th place at yesterday's UNK Invite. Also congrats to the Boys' team for placing 6th out of 37 teams and to the girls for placing 13th out of 37 teams.


STUDENT COUNCIL: *Student Council will meet in the PAC during Swede Foundations TODAY.
